The Barnstable Pumpout Boats are in service for the boating season beginning Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend. The pumpout boats will be running seven days a week. The boats can be easily identified. Both boats are white center console vessels with the lettering "HARBORMASTER" on both sides. The pumpout boats monitor VHF channels 16 and 09 during operating hours. We encourage you to schedule pumpouts in advance using the e-mail address pumpout@town.barnstable.ma.us no later than Sunday at 6:00pm if you would like a pump out for that week. Additionally, if you would like to be placed on the recurring weekly list, please state so in your email. If an immediate pumpout is needed, please call the Harbormaster's office at (508) 790-6273 Monday through Friday. It is helpful to schedule pumpouts in advance. Our shore side pumpout stations are available on the bulkhead of Bismore Park in Hyannis inner Harbor, as well as on the dock closest to the bulkhead in Barnstable inner Harbor.

HOW TO GET PUMPED OUT

• While on the water, you can simply flag down the pumpout boat when you see it. If not en-route to another requested pumpout, the operator will immediately service your request.
• You can also use your VHF or marine band radio. Make arrangements by hailing "Barnstable Pumpout Boat” on VHF channel 16 or 09. Because the operator is not always in a position to see the radio on the boat, be sure to state the name of your vessel as well as the channel that you are calling on.

• Name of Owner/Operator, Name of vessel, Call back Number
• Size, hull color, and type of vessel
• Location of vessel (Bay and/or Mooring Number)
• Side of vessel discharge is located

LAND BASED STATIONS

There are also two land based semi-self-service pumpout stations operated and maintained by the Town of Barnstable. There is one on the South side of Town located at the West End of the bulkhead at Bismore Park Marina in the Hyannis Inner Harbor. The other is on the North side of Town at the Barnstable Harbor Inner Harbor dock closest to the bulkhead. There are Dockmasters at both of these locations 7 days a week to assist you.
