Hyannis Youth & Community Center Receives Check from Cumberland Farms

During the Hyannis Youth & Community Center’s (HYCC) High School Boys Basketball Summer League Play Off Games, held Tuesday, August 8th, Assistant Town Manager Andy Clyburn joined HYCC staff to accept a $1,826 check from Cumberland Farms.  The proceeds were from a fundraising effort supported by the Grand Opening Celebration of the newly renovated Cumberland Farms location at 395 West Main Street in Hyannis.  During a span of four weeks, 10% was donated for every purchase of a poured beverage in the popular “Chill Zone.”  The HYCC and Cumberland Farms collaborated on a similar promotion in 2012 when the Cumberland Farms on Iyannough Road/Route 132 opened.  During that campaign, sales from the Chill Zone sales netted $2,906.40 for the HYCC.  “We have been very happy to collaborate with Cumberland Farms on these projects,” said Mr. Clyburn. “It makes sense to partner with a retailer hat understands the positive impact our programs have on their customers  who are also are employees, members and other visitors to the HYCC.”
