Annual Action Plan (Program Year 2026)
The Draft Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2026 is currently available for review. The Plan has been posted on this webpage within the News and Updates section and is also available at the Towns Planning and Development Office addressed 367 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 which is handicap accessible.
The plan serves as the planning and strategic document for the Town's CDBG Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the CDBG program is to provide housing, economic opportunities and a suitable living environment for low and moderate income persons. The range of eligible activities includes affordable housing, economic development, public facility improvements and public services.
Comments received by Monday, May 4, 2026, will be included in the final submission to HUD for approval. Comments can be submitted by email to Jim Kupfer at James.Kupfer@barnstable.gov with CDBG Comments in the subject line. Additionally, written comments can be dropped off in person or mailed to Planning and Development, 367 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Hyannis, MA 02601. Translations are available upon request.
